chalk type

i find in a lot of my art/design i can get so attached to an idea, that in my goal to make it perfect i never actually move on past the rough pencil sketches and never-ending checklists that i create for a project.

drawing in chalk is a pretty good way to get over that because it's so time consuming to get right and impossible to get perfect, that you quickly get over the fact that even though the typography is grossly wonky and kerning is way out, it's too much effort to fix so you just have to deal with it and move on.

it sounds like a very lazy approach, and it probably is. but that suits me just fine. now i just need to psych myself up enough to wipe this piece clean and start again...
