the thing about surprise birthday invitations is that they have to stay a surprise unless otherwise stated. or at least until the party is over. i did this custom type a while ago now – the  rest of the invitation had some pretty fun folds and perforations, but it would look weird unless it was printed, so i'll have to track down a sample to photograph later...also the flowers are stock, so i can't take any credit for them. true story.
